After thirty years
experience in architectural practice the office can offer planning
consultancy advice in conjunction with its architectural projects and as a
stand-alone service.
We have a track record of
achieving permissions and winning appeals; several examples are given
below.
Orleans
Lodge, Twickenham
DCA were appointed to a
residential project located in a conservation area. Previous schemes had
been refused planning permission, and also rejected on appeal.
By carefully analysing the
prior applications and reasons for refusal, DCA achieved planning
permission in the face of neighbours' objections.
West
End Lane, West Hampstead
DCA were
appointed by a developer to refurbish and extend a block of flats.
The
council initially opposed the scheme, citing their policy of retaining low rent accommodation, daylighting, and visual impact.
By
researching the properties rental records and rating, and also using
photomontage and daylighting diagrams, we avoided a refusal and achieved planning permission for
both the extra floor and internal re-organisation.
